The last few days were a whirlwind, I say this to everyone, no matter how hard it seems, if you want it, you'll find a way!

My advice for next year's applicants would be to research potential clearing numbers and make a list of possible universities you'd like to reach out to. As everyone says, the worst they can say is no, and even worse, they tell you that you're 30 minutes late after making you wait 2 hours on their forever-repeating hold music.

Beware, some universities only want you to submit an online form, but this should be information widely available from the universities, so you don't go scrambling on results day.

Although everyone says not to get your parents to call clearing hotlines, it is really helpful having two phones at hand, but please be the one talking if someone does pick up :D

Watch out on Twitter, that's where I found out about Leicester's discrete medicine clearing opportunity.

And now to 'the limit', this is something you will not get to with normal practice. This needs meticulous criticism of your UCAT technique and practice routine. Look at factors such as keywords, calculations you're carrying out for DM and QR, patterns you're looking for in AR and even the factors you focus on in SJT. Now don't get me wrong, there will be a time where you think... this is is... I'm going nowhere. I want you to think about how you got the position you're in, getting to the position (in the position to want to go to med/dent school) you're hard-working, smart, and apparently gifted too (don't rely on that) if you hit a roadblock, go around it, focus on something else, there may always be things you can improve. Remember, in the UCAT every second counts.
